Back for their second show this year, the Coast Comedy Players are coming to Sawtell RSL this December with a Christmas Variety Show that will have audiences ‘cracking’ up.

“We had such fun earlier in the year with the comedy play, ‘Companion Planting’, that we thought we’d have another crack at it,” said the Players founder, Penny Dennis.

The group have put together a collation of songs, comedy sketches, dances, comedy monologues and sing-a-longs that will warm the hearts of old and young alike.

One of the Player’s founding members, Wendy Jeffery, had the idea to do a Christmas show.  She told us, “The audience feedback from our play in February was amazing and, as we had formed such strong bonds as performers, it seemed a shame not to keep it going.”

“We know everyone will have a good laugh at the performances we’ve put together, so we hope loads of people will come along and have a giggle,” said Penny Dennis.

The local branch of RSPCA will be benefitting from the show, too, with $3 from every ticket sold going to the organisation.
